Primetime Outfitters has a proven reputation for providing the highest quality Whitetail deer and turkey hunting available in Southern Iowa. We are located in Zone 5, Appanoose and Monroe Counties, Iowa. Our Whitetail deer management program targets producing trophy caliber bucks. We have therefore established a 150 B&C Minimum Score for all of our Iowa deer hunting properties. Any buck shot under this minimum is subject to an additional management fee of $1,000.
Iowa is known as the land of the giants. Iowa whitetail hunting is definitely in a league of its own. If you want the chance to hunt in the #1 state for MONSTER Whitetails then we have everything you need. We have 3000 plus acres in Appanoose and Monroe Co., which is Zone 5. We only take a limited number of hunters each year. We take 20 hunters, Bow or gun, 20 is all we take. We want our Iowa land to be the best it can be for our hunters. The Iowa lottery makes it difficult for hunters to obtain a tag every year so we believe Iowa is a "bonus" state to hunt and therefore we want it to be as good as it can and as it is. No pressure, not over hunted and well managed is why our Iowa land IS undoubtedly the best there is!
All Whitetail hunts are fully guided and include:
We offer 6 day bow hunts, 5 day muzzleloader hunts and 5 day shotgun hunts. Our properties are strictly managed for trophy Whitetail deer on prime Whitetail country in Southern Iowa, Appanoose and Monroe Counties, Zone 5.
We will instruct you on the licensing process. You may apply for a license in May. The draw results are usually announced Mid-July. * If you apply for a license and are not drawn you will receive a preference point.
Our Minimum gross score is 150. Primetime Outfitters puts a lot of time and effort into managing our properties. Therefore we do have a Habitat Fee of $1,000 for any buck shot under the minimum.
All game harvested or wounded must be reported to your guide.
Our Fully Guided Archery Hunts are based from our lodge. These hunts are primarily done from pre-placed tree stands or ground blinds. Every stand is set to take advantage of specific wind conditions.
Our Fully Guided Shotgun Hunts are spread between 2 seasons in December.
Our Fully Guided Muzzleloader Hunts are in early January and this hunt is very popular.
All Fully Guided Whitetail hunts include: Experienced and knowledgeable hunting guides, orientation for camp rules and regulations, property and stand orientation, lodging, meals, and tracking services.
